Hey, we just want to give you a bit of our background! Cba Sites is a Pacific Northwest family business owned by Alex and Barbara Blake (son and mother).
Alex’s love for computers started at age 10 when he received one as a gift from his techy uncle. He began taking them apart and tweaking them, and he later became an advocate for open source software and tech freedom. In high-school, Alex built websites that would help those he knew–his local church and a missionary to the Philippines.
Barbara had always been involved in art and took it and Business English in college, enabling her to work on design and write content for sites. Creating designs on the web was an exciting prospect for her.
With years of computer systems and art background, building websites seemed a natural step when we first began meeting the need for websites. As people liked our work and we received more requests for sites, we recognized the opportunity to help people with work we love, and Cba Sites was born. Our goal is to create more visitor-friendly and clearly-organized websites than the ones we have struggled with on the Internt. We also work hard for them to represent the feel of the organization well, something our clients love.
In 2017 we decided to move from Washington to a larger town; and after a trip through three states, we chose winsome Roseburg! We love the connection we found here; and as we’ve built up our business over the last eight years, we’ve invested many hours honing our craft and finding efficient and modern technologies to build our sites with.
